Holiday Inn Express Xi'an Bell Tower By IHG

Room and bed was big enough for our family (2A 3C although 1child prefers to sleep on his air bed). Hotel was near and within walking distance to places of interest such as bell tower and city wall. Tour assistant was very helpful to assist as our stay in Xi'An was short yet we wanted to visit as many places of interest as possible. She recommended us based on where we wanted to go and recommended street food near the hotel which was cheap and delicious, kids still missed the street food even when we are back home. Buffet breakfast was decent. Room was clean and water bottles were available at the lift area and lobby, very convenient.

Nothing I could think of.. Most importantly NO complains fromt he kids :)

The hotel is located in the center, next to the bell tower, and is easily accessible by the airport bus. It is also conveniently close to various locations, with easy commutes to different areas via the Xi'an Metroline and other public transportation. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located near several convenience stores and restaurants. Furthermore, the receptionists were welcoming and willing to help and assist. The breakfast was excellent and offered a variety of food options.

The only thing that could be improved would be the ability to communicate in English of the receptionists. Some receptionists were able to communicate effectively in English, but others might struggle to understand or communicate clearly. However, they have all tried their best to assist where possible.

I hope the room size could be bigger but the front desk staff told me the city puts a limit on the construction so that would be it. Other than the room size, everything else is great. Friendly front desk, nice room cleaning staff, decent breakfast. And a tourism consultant on site that saved us lots of time and money to visit the spots.

The elevator was broken the morning we were leaving. We were on the 7th floor with our big suitcases and could not go down by the staircase. Our taxi waited for 15 minutes outside the hotel and we almost missed the train!

Non of the staff speak English, non smoking room but I smell smoke everywhere during stay

Good location, very near to the metro and all the places around Bell Tower. Breakfast spread is very good a mixed of local and continental

Location in the city center, close to the bell tower, halal food street, city wall, within walking distance less than 1 km. Quite comfortable, with room rates per night that are quite cheap.

In front of the room, the view is of another building's wall, but it's not a problem

We always travel light and having self laundry facilities is always a big plus for us. Laundry was free and liquid detergent was available. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. Shower pressure and temperature were wonderful. Location is great as well, walking distance to shopping and some great attractions. I was there on a weekend and the noise didn't bother me at all, even though I was on the second floor and am a very light sleeper. I had read many comments about the noise and was quite worried, but it wasn't an issue. Front desk is 24h. I arrived at 4 in the morning and had no problem checking in. For some reason I had higher expectations for this hotel, maybe because it has such high ratings. But it is a 3 star hotel, so I should have adjusted my expectations. With that in mind, and with clear expectations of what a 3-star hotel offers, I would recommend to family and friends.

The beds were very small - more like a double than a queen. If that is a problem for you, consider getting 2 rooms - we had intended to stay in 3 adults in 1 bedrrom and ended up getting another room for the second night. Cleaning was also not good at all. There were used ear plugs and wrappers under the bed and bathroom had some apparent mold. Breakfast was ok at best. But it's free and it did allow us to start our day with something in our stomach.

Provide training to customer service receptionists about what prepayment means, as I had already entered my credit card details when I booked the hotel via booking.com.None of them understood about prepayment via booking.com, and I ended up having to argue with them for about an hour.

Near to mrt. Provided breakfast and laundry. However some of the room during midnight might have disco voice due to nearby pub. Overall 8/10. But the price is ok

Clean and simple with outstanding location. The place to stay unless you need a pool and workout room. In addition it has a lovely breakfast.

I like everything which is why I have stayed there my last three visits to Xian.

Nice hotel, its super convenient to most of the shops and food street nearby. The bell tower subway exit no.3 walking distance to the hotel. I like the breakfast is more variety and nice taste.

Very centric location to all the attractions. Has a very helpful travel agency in the lobby.

The entrance is in a side street , bit tricky to find

The location cannot be any better. You are right in the middle of something. Walk to the City Walls and you can see the meeting point for the tours to the Terra Cotta Army. Also, the subway is basically right next to the hotel.

Staff didn’t speak even simple english. Internet not working at all from our room, only in the lobby
